Canoe hire and canoe trips

We start our canoe/kayak rentals on:

Want to experience an active, sporty day with friends or just enjoy nature? Then come along and rent a canoe and or SUP board and explore nature from the water.

Canoe trip

For a fun and active day, take a canoe trip on the Sûre. The trip starts after a short instruction from the campsite and ends in Bollendorf. The route is 11 kilometres and takes about 2.5 hours. 

Departure

You can leave daily between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm at the latest. Between 16:00 and 16:30 you have to be at the terminus in Bollendorf at the latest. There you can take the bus (190) back to the campin for free. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk from the terminus. If you make a reservation, departure is only possible between 10:00 and 11:00. Have you not picked up the canoe by 11:15 am, sent a counter message or called? Then we will rent the canoe or kayak to someone else. Public transport departure times are available from us.

Children under supervision

Children from 6 to 12 years old are only allowed in the kayak or canoe when accompanied by an adult. However, they are required to wear a life jacket. Even if you cannot swim, it is compulsory to ask for a life jacket. Life jackets are available free of charge at reception. 

Stand-up paddle

Do you like supping and would like to practise? With good materials, supping does not have to be difficult at all! On the contrary, supping is a very accessible sport and almost anyone can learn it. If you are a bit sporty and have a good balance, that is of course an advantage.

Important to know

In Luxembourg, rules apply to canoeing on the Sauer/Sûre. These rules also apply to people who want to use their own boat, kayak or raft. We kindly ask you to respect these rules. The water level of the Sauer may not fall below 56 centimetres at the Bollendorf gauging station. If the water level is too high, the rental will not take place. You can check the current water level of the Sauer/Sûre via the following link: Water level Sauer/Sûre. Because of these rules, it is difficult to book far in advance. What can you do? Call us 1 or 2 days in advance to find out if tours are possible, depending on the water level of the Sauer/Sûre.

Please note that if the tour cannot go ahead on the day of sailing, we unfortunately cannot return calls. This is not possible for us.

General rules

• Boarding and alighting at the designated point
• Alcohol is prohibited, including beer or wine. Think about your own safety and others!
• You are responsible for returning the kayaking equipment in good condition
• We are not responsible for injury, damage and loss of personal belongings
  
• Please do not leave waste on or at the banks of the Súre. You can hand in your waste at the end point in Bollendorf
  
• Children from 6 years can come along
• Keep an eye on fishermen, keep your distance
• Minimum water level 56 centimetres Pegel Bollendorf. Below 56 centimetres no hire possible
